What types of coaching sessions do you offer?

I offer a variety of sessions to suit all surfers, including private lessons (1 or 2 people), group sessions (3-8 people), girls-only sessions, adult sessions, and online coaching. Each session is tailored to your skill level, goals, and needs, with options for video analysis to provide detailed feedback.

How do I know if Phoebe Strachan Surf Coaching is right for me?

If you can paddle into waves unaided, pop up and trim in the white water, or are progressing onto surfing green waves—and you’re eager to improve—then PSSC is perfect for you!

Whether you’re a junior or an adult, I can help you develop your surfing skills.

What are the prices for your coaching sessions?

Here’s a breakdown of my pricing:

  • Group session (3-8 people): £25 kids, £30 adults

  • Group session with video analysis: £30 kids, £35 adults

  • Private lesson (1 or 2 people): £100

  • Online coaching: £20

    You can also book blocks of 3 group sessions for £70, or £80 with video analysis.

What is your cancellation policy?

All sessions must be booked and paid for upfront. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable. If I have to cancel a session, you’ll receive a full refund.

With over 13 years of coaching experience, five Scottish Women’s Surfing Champion titles, and international competition experience, I bring a deep understanding of surfing to every session. As an ISA Level 2 certified coach and a degree in teaching, I offer tailored guidance for surfers of all ages, from beginners to advanced. Plus, as a Patagonia ambassador and surf lifeguard, I prioritize safety, sustainability, and sharing my passion for surfing.

Where will sessions be held?

I will assess conditions for a variety of surf spots and choose the best spot for the ability in the lesson. The location will be given prior to the session being held.

What kit do I need?

You will need all your own kit as kit is not provided. However I will be able to offer guidance and advice on choosing the right kit for you and where to get it from. Having your own kit is essential to improving your surfing.
